A Message from the NUFP Board Chair

Dear NUFP family:

It is hard to believe that the semester is more than halfway completed. I am excited to share that we have added over 170 new NUFP’s to our program. I am proud of each of the new and returning NUFP’s and look forward to connecting with them over the next few months. The Board has been hard at work working on developing additional resources for the NUFP program. We have also hosted several successful programs over the past few weeks as we celebrated Careers in Student Affairs Month.

As you plan the remainder of the semester, I would like to encourage you to consider adding these tasks to your to do list:

• Meet with your mentor/mentor to discuss the NUFP program
• Create a list of possible graduate school you want to discuss in your meetings
• Explore the possibility of attending the NASPA undergraduate symposium
• Schedule time for self-care

#NUFPMeetUp - Thanks for attending!

On Monday, October 25th, the NUFP Board hosted a Welcome to NUFP event for all new and returning NUFPs. In this panel-style event, our six incredible professionals shared insight and advice about their own student affairs and NUFP journey. We discussed things from how to build meaningful mentor-mentee relationships, summer internships, the Dungy Leadership Institute (summer 2022) and the Undergraduate Student Conference (March 2022), and so much more! We thank each of our panelists and encourage you to reach out to any of them for any questions you have for them. Lastly, congrats on Tyler Lum (NUFP Spotlight) on winning the $50 gift certificate to the NASPA Store.
