Any student can become CPE Trained! Enroll your student into a CPE Cohort, priced at $109 per student, with a reduced rate of $89 per student for NASPA Institutional members. Students can register for the cohort themselves or have their advisors register them using the 'register colleague' option (students will need to first create a NAPSA account and select their institution).
Students will go through the CPE training over three weeks. Each week will consist of videos, reflection questions, discussion posts, and quizzes; these are all asynchronous and can be completed on a student's individual schedule.
If you'd like to learn more about your CPE training options, the shift to the CPE Cohort, or any other inquiries, reach out by emailing CPE@NASPA.org. You can learn more and stay up to date with all CPE news by visiting our webpage: https://naspa.org/cpe

The College Alcohol Intervention Matrix (CollegeAIM): Applications to Selection of Evidence-Based Prevention Programs and Strategic Planning
The CollegeAIM tool aids in dissemination of evidence-based alcohol prevention, but there is limited information on how it is used and perceived by professionals. On Thursday, December 14 at1pmET/12pmCT, join Dr. Ashley Helle, Ph.D. from the University of Missouri who will review recently collected data (surveys, interviews, strategic plans) from a statewide prevention coalition regarding their perceptions and use of the CollegeAIM tool and applications of CollegeAIM in strategic planning. Recommendations for selection and implementation of evidence-based practices based on prevention professionals experiences will be provided.
Advisor Registration Now Open for the 2023-2024 NPES
The National Peer Educator Survey (NPES) is designed to provide evidence-based research outcomes associated with being a peer educator on a college or university campus. We are seeking institutions to participate in the 2023-24 cycle of the NPES! Participation is free for all NASPA-member institutions and encouraged for those affiliated with the Health, Safety, and Well-being Initiatives of NASPA.
Six specific learning domains (cognitive complexity; intrapersonal development; interpersonal development; practical competence; knowledge acquisition, construction, integration, and application; humanitarianism and civic engagement) highlighting the skills peer educators develop in their roles
Motivational factors that contribute to students deciding to become a peer educator
Training peer educators receive and the topics they cover with students
Demographics of peer educators
How does the NPES work?
The National Peer Educator Survey is a Web-based survey administered to peer educators affiliated with NASPA on college and university campuses across the United States and abroad.
College affiliate peer educator advisors provide contact information (names, email address) of their peer educators
All other aspects of the survey administration are handled by the NPES Research Team at Michigan State University (e-mailing students, follow-up, data collection, and data analysis).
Student responses from the NPES are anonymous to their institutions. All materials, implements, and reports allow for the upmost protection and anonymity of student data.
How will participating in the NPES benefit institutions, advisors, and peer educators? Once peer educators complete the survey, participating advisors are provided with access to a tableau dashboard, which features outcomes their students derive from being peer educators. The NPES tableau dashboard includes:
Aggregated responses featuring peer educators’ learning outcomes, motivations, training, and demographics data
Helpful strategies for advisors to implement in an effort to improve assessment practices and support peer educators in developing skills and competencies
A summary of national findings and comparison across Carnegie class institutional types
For questions, please contact Dr. Jake Lemon, NPES Project Manager, at npes@naspa.org. Thank you in advance for your participation!
NASPA's Peer Education Initiatives provide education, support, resources, and training to support peer education advisors, peer educators, peer education groups, and the field of peer education.
